Covered rose jar made from blue-green glazed ceramic. The jar is rotund and is painted with brown and black decorative designs. There are thick, tan, raised vertical stripes outlined in black. Between these stripes are areas of black detailing on a blue-green background. The detailing follows an alternating pattern of interlocking diamonds and a botanical design that features a long swirling stem with small leaves attached. The shoulder of the jar is circled by three black concentric circles. The rim of the jar is a faded white and tan color. The lid is blue-green with a pattern of black interlocking diamonds. There is an area on the outer edge of the lid where a piece has chipped off. The center handle of the lid is small and round with very faded blue-green and tan spots. You can see brown leaves inside the jar.
