This oil painting on canvas depicts an ornate building, trees, a garden, and several figures. In the foreground of the painting, there is a pool enclosed by a short wall with a statue in the middle. Behind the pool are carefully shaped beds of greenery that frame walkways. In the center of the middle path, there are two figures standing next to each other. One is dressed in a black coat and top hat and the other in a white dress with a full, floor-length skirt. Behind these figures are two other people both dressed in gray coats and hats. In the center of the painting is a large, white building with a central arched entryway. Three arched windows frame the entryway and are topped by large broken pediments with decorative flourishes in between. Other decorative features top the building and frame the architecture. The scene and figures are bordered by a blue sky and tall leafy trees.
