This vertical watercolor on a grey card, more than twice as high as wide, captures a group of female ballet dancers in the fore and mid-grounds. The figures are represented in clusters throughout the compositon in a pinkish-white color and rendered very indistinctly from eachother. This is because the pinkish-white color used to capture the dancers' tutus merge with other dancers and their body parts, which are painted in the same colors. To our left and half way up the compostion is a cluster of two dancers. On the opposite side, to our right, a total of about seven dancers are represented forming an upside down triangle pointing towards the forground. The two dancers closests to the foregound are the most legible, and are both presented standing on the toe boxes of their shoes. The dancer to our right wears a bright pink flower at her waist and in her brunette hair.  A couple other dancers have brunette hair, but for the most part the pinkish white color of their tutus, pointe shoes, stockings, skin and at times hair all merge together. Behind the corp of dancers a blurred stage set painted in stalactite or stalagmite-like irregular formations in brown, beige, and blue with touches of white, suggests a cavernous opening in the left-center background through which one dancer appears to have entered on our left.  At our front left a brown rounded projection arises from what appears to be the stage’s edge delimiting its boundary. In the lower right corner the artist has signed his work, “Louis Kronberg” and at our top right the inscription, “L.K. 1915.” is included.
