This Italian triptych, made of gold and tempera on a wood panel, is a small folding altarpiece. The central panel is rectangular with a triangular top. The “wings” on either side are each half the size of the central panel, and if folded over would cover the central panel.  In the middle of the central panel is the ashen, elongated figure of Jesus Christ, crucified and hanging dead on the cross and covered by a flimsy loincloth. His head and slightly bent knees face to your left. On either side of him, under his outstretched arms, there is a cherub. Two saints, a female on your left and a male on your right, stand on either side of Jesus and gaze up at him.  A female saint crouches at Jesus’s feet and holds onto the cross. In the triangular area above, the head and torso of a male (Jesus Christ the Redeemer) appears in a roundel. In the wing to your left, two male saints stand, with a kneeling angel in the triangular area above. In the wing to your right, a male and a female saint stand, with a seated female saint in the triangular area above. The saints have gold halos and tan skin, and their robes are mostly red, blue, and black. The background and frame of this artwork are almost entirely gold.  Both edges of the triangular top of the central panel and the right edge of the triangular top of the left wing have small round knobs as ornamentation.
