Rayna Lo

Polly Thayer Starr Visiting Studio Artist

VISITING STUDIO ARTIST FEBRUARY-APRIL 2022

Rayna Lo collaborated with the Museum as a Visiting Studio Artist and designed a contemporary Studio art-making project inspired by plants in the Museum’s Courtyard.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Rayna Lo is an multidisciplinary artist and educator living in Boston, Massachusetts.

Rayna is a second generation Taiwanese American, born in Chicago, IL.

Before embracing herself as an artist, she worked in the pharmaceutical industry for 10+ years. Studying Traditional Chinese (Taiwan’s written language) calligraphy was her gateway into the art world and she has since delved into various art forms such as illustration.

Rayna is bridging together traditional Aisan and contemporary art while processing her personal experience on what being Taiwanese American means. Through this exploration, she is finally allowing herself to develop her voice as an artist.

Rayna believes that art is a lifelong journey of exploration and self-expression. She welcomes you to join her in this new chapter as she explores colors and patterns!
