Revel as Isabella did with an evening of artful cuisine, beautiful music, and timeless wonder. Feast on a creative collaboration between Nat Silver, William and Lia Poorvu Curator of the Collection, and Chef Pete Crowley. Start the night with a close look at the masterpieces that inspired the menu, followed by dinner against the dramatic backdrop of the Tapestry Room. The evening ends within the Courtyard as music from the Dutch Room balcony floats over you—an unprecedented experience.

Journey to Japan - 24 guests
Inspired by Isabella’s expedition to Japan in 1884, enjoy an evening of artistic and culinary exploration. Kick off the night with a sake tasting before joining Gardner conservation and curatorial staff in the galleries. You will be given a behind-the-scenes glimpse of Gardner’s treasured remembrances of Japan, including her personal travel albums and the tea set given to her by curator and artist Okakura Kakuzō. Dinner by the Courtyard will follow, featuring a multi-course Japanese-inspired menu with music.

A Moveable Feast - 12 guests
Embark on a culinary tour of the Gardner as you dine on a three-course meal throughout the Palace, each course inspired by the history and culture of the room. Begin with cocktails by the iconic Courtyard followed by a first course amidst the masterworks in the Dutch Room. Then, experience the red-cloaked splendor of the Raphael Room for the main course before processing to the Spanish Cloister for dessert and a nightcap.

"Mrs. Jack Buys a Botticelli" - A Portfolio of Original Artwork
Own a portfolio of twelve pen and ink drawings by Karl Stevens, comic strip artist, that tells the story of Isabella Stewart Gardner’s purchase of the first Botticelli to come to America. These one-of-a-kind drawings are the originals that are reproduced in the exhibition Botticelli: Heroines + Heroes, on view at the Gardner February 14–May 19, 2019.
