Last season, the Sphinx Orchestra electrified Calderwood Hall in their debut performance. This all-star orchestra of Black and Latinx musicians returns with a program global in its reach.
Composer Philip Herbert memorializes Briton Stephen Lawrence, who was killed in a racially motivated attack in 1993, at the age of 18. Xavier Foley, who made his Gardner debut on the bass last season, offers the title work.
