Statement from Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum on COVID-19 Response

BOSTON, MA (December 14, 2020) – In accordance with Boston Mayor Martin J. Walsh’s most recent COVID-19 guidelines, and in an effort to ensure the health and safety of our staff and volunteers, visitors and community, the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum (ISGM) will temporarily close, beginning December 16 for at least 3 weeks.

The Gardner Museum is regularly closed on Tuesdays.

“We appreciate the efforts of our Mayor, and Governor—as well as hospital, frontline and other essential workers—in keeping our City safe, especially during this holiday season,” said Peggy Fogelman, Norma Jean Calderwood Director. “We look forward to the time in the new year when we can once again welcome visitors and serve as a place of beauty and respite for all.”

ISGM ticket holders will be notified of cancellations, and refunds will be honored. Please check our website as well as social media channels and emails for updates.
