VISITING STUDIO ARTIST JUNE-SEPTEMBER 2022
Working with Visiting Studio Artist, Julia Gualtieri, visitors created dioramas inspired by the special exhibition, Drawing the Curtain: Maurice Sendak’s Designs for Opera and Ballet. Julia illustrated a step-by-step instruction sheet to guide the activity, along with custom screen-printed paper for visitors to create the scenery and characters for their dioramas.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Julia Gualtieri is a Providence based artist, educator, and curator who nerds out hard about prints and printmaking in particular. She’s always looking for ways to make artmaking more fun, more accessible, better supported, and generally more possible. If Julia was an animal, she would be an otter.
