The Poiesis Quartet were founded only in 2022, and yet they are already a much-talked-about force in classical music—come hear what the excitement is all about! They will tackle two landmarks of the repertoire, including Beethoven’s final string quartet, a work full of good humor despite having been written in trying circumstances. They also bring two recent works: a bright and brilliant work from Minnesota-based composer Sky Macklay and a new work commissioned from Jeff Scott, composer and the founding horn player of Imani Winds.
