The excellent Ivalas Quartet perform Schubert’s monumental “Death and the Maiden” quartet, along with two American works: an early work in his “American” style by George Walker, who died only a few years ago at the age of 96; and a moving miniature from Carlos Simon, whose Requiem for the Enslaved had its Boston premiere at the Gardner Museum in 2022.
