For this September Free First Thursday, join us in the garden, no green thumb required to participate in our nature-inspired art making, explore the intersection of community and green spaces, or enjoy the final weeks of our summer exhibitions: Ming Fay: Edge of the Garden, Flowers for Isabella, and Yu-Wen Wu: Reigning Beauty, 2025 on the Anne H. Fitzpatrick Façade (also featured as part of the Boston Public Art Triennial)
If you’re in need of a refreshment, Café G is open late, and be sure to stop by Gift at the Gardner on your way out to shop the Summer 2025 exhibitions collection for wonderful trinkets featuring lemons, oranges,cherries, and more.

Community Tabling by the The Trustees Community Gardens
6:30 – 8:30 pm, Jordan Garden
Create leaf rubbings and learn about the 56 community gardens across eight Boston neighborhoods stewarded and managed by The Trustees Community Gardens Team.

Experience the unique, experimental sounds of of Boston musician aznjujube, who melds Asian folk music with mandolin, vocals, and MPC beats.
Advance registration is encouraged for free timed entry tickets for Museum general admission.
Registration opens two weeks before the event for the general public and four weeks in advance for members. Reserve your tickets online by clicking the button above.
Limited tickets will be available in-person at the Museum’s main entrance, starting at 3 pm, the day of the event. Please note that day-of tickets are not guaranteed.
