As the leading painter in Europe, Titian painted a series of mythological canvases for the world's most powerful ruler, King Philip II of Spain. Join the Gardner's William and Lia Curator of the Collection, Nathaniel Silver to explore the artist, his poesie for the king, and their pivotal place in the history of Western European painting.
Nathaniel Silver is the William and Lia Poorvu Curator of the Collection at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, Boston.
Tickets are required and include Museum admission.
Adults $20, seniors $18, students $13, free for members and children 17 and under.
