Program for the Evening

Phil Kline's Unsilent Night // Living Room // 7 - 8 pm
Join Phil Kline's Unsilent Night, a participatory music procession that creates "a unique mobile sound sculpture" and turns the audience into performers. Grab a boom box, bring a Bluetooth speaker, or download the smartphone app at unsilentnight.com/participate to create a joyous sound by foot. Please note that this event partially takes place outside.

Music in the Courtyard // 5:30 - 8:45 pm
Check out Boston's own DJ Bobby Bangers. Experience music from around the world as he spins records from his eclectic collection.

Art-Making in the Studio // 5:30 - 8:30 pm
Sitting back-to-back with a partner, describe your favorite celebratory meal for them to draw, and see how delicious it turns out!

Make a Wish in the Living Room // 5:30 - 8:30 pm
Spread some holiday cheer by writing down your wish for a loved one, a stranger, or a newfound friend. Tie it to our Wish Tree and encourage others to do the same.

The Mending Project in Hostetter Gallery // 5:30 - 8:30 pm
Bring an item that needs some love to The Mending Project, part of our special exhibition Common Threads: Weaving Stories Across Time. Don't have anything in need of mending? Come for a festive embellishment!

Dance Performance in Calderwood Hall // 6:30 - 7:45 pm
Watch, or participate, as OrigiNation Cultural Arts Center celebrates the African-American tradition of Kwanzaa through powerful, energetic, and passionate performances featuring dance, spoken word, and music.
