Third Thursdays

#ThrowbackThursday

Thursday, September 21, 2017
5:30 - 9 pm
Throughout the Museum

Soak up the enchanting atmosphere of the Museum at night. This lively, social evening features music, creative collaborators, a cash bar, playful gallery activities, and hands-on art making. Hungry? Café G will be open for snacks, dinner, and drinks.

This month, we're celebrating 10 years of Third Thursdays at the Gardner with music, conversation, and hands-on art making that take us back in time.

DJ Day Glow plays a special selection of vinyl with help from her dad’s eclectic collection of experimental electronic music and synthpop from the 80s.

Join Boston Lyric Opera for a one-of-a-kind operatic #ThrowbackThursday. Take a trip back in time to legendary soprano Nellie Melba’s historic performances at the Gardner. Boston-based soprano Chelsea Basler and pianist Brett Hodgdon bring Melba’s spirit and musical stylings back to life through special pop-up performances.
