Bring the whole family to the Gardner for free interactive evenings in our beautiful galleries and gardens. Enjoy performances, hands-on art-making, food trucks, a cash bar, and gallery games. This summer, we invite you to engage with themes from our special exhibition Big Plans and represent your personal vision of community and belonging. 

Co-produced with director, writer, and Neighborhood Salon Luminary Paloma Valenzuela.

Program for the Evening

In the Jordan Garden | 6:45–8 PM
Enjoy moving performances by powerhouse Veronica Robles and her Female Mariachi Band (Boston's first-ever all-women mariachi band), along with lawn games and libations from our cash bar

In the Courtyard | 5–8:45 PM
Latin beats all night by DJ Real P

In Calderwood Hall | 5:30–8:45 PM
Come experience the next generation of Dominican music videos, curated by director Paloma Valenzuela

In the Studio | 5:30–8:45 PM
Based on a True Story with photographer and visual artist Feda Eid

In the Living Room | 7:15 & 8:15 PM
Join us for two poetry showcases, one with Dzidzor, accompanied by drums, at 7:15 PM, and one with Yara Liceaga and Rudy Rudacious at 8:15 PM

Admission

Free admission from 5–9 pm on select Thursday evenings. Free admission will be available at the Museum entrance on a first-come, first-served basis. Visitors under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.Admission includes access to the entire Museum, including special exhibitions. To ensure everyone's experience at the Museum is pleasant, entry may be timed every 30 minutes, with the last entry at 8:30 pm.
