Gardner & Frick as Collectors

Exclusive to Friends of Fenway Court Patrons

Tuesday, March 2, 2021
12 - 1 pm
This is a virtual program

Join Nathaniel Silver, William and Lia Poorvu Curator of the Collection at the Gardner, and Xavier Salomon, Deputy Director and Peter Jay Sharp Chief Curator at the Frick Collection, for a talk about Isabella Stewart Gardner and Henry Clay Frick as leading figures in the art world of Gilded Age America. Learn how Gardner and Frick met, hear what they thought of each others' collections, and discover which masterpieces they competed for! We’ll end the talk with a Q&A with the curators.

RSVP

Free for all Patrons. Email us at patrons@isgm.org to RSVP for this virtual event. We will reply with the Zoom link to join.

Patrons will receive invitations separately for each event. Please note that events are subject to change and space is limited. Patrons at the Curators' Circle level and above receive invitations for additional events. In addition to signature events, we work with Patrons individually to foster a deeper connection with the Museum through programs and smaller events tailored to their specific interests.
