A Far Cry presents original compositions inspired by aspects of the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum!

PROGRAM

“In-House”
For the first time, A Far Cry presents original compositions inspired by aspects of the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. Everything from works of art, to the architecture, the cafe fare, even the museum staff could be the subject of these new works. The program will also include companion pieces by other performer-composers throughout history, from baroque to modern day masters.

Alex Fortes, Transliminal Corridor, inspired by the the glass corridor connecting the new and old sections of the Museum
Annie Rabbat, Los Gitanos de Jerez, inspired by John Singer Sargeant’s El Jaleo
Evan Premo, Empty Frames, inspired by Rembrandt’s Christ in the Storm on the Sea of Galilee and Vermeer’s The Concert
Megumi Lewis, TBD, inspired by the choir book in the Chapel, Chinese frog sculptures, and Rembrandt’s Self Portrait, Age 23
Sarah Darling, Dear Isabella, inspired by Bellini’s Seated Scribe
Zenas Hsu, TBD, inspired by books in Isabella's library
Jason Fisher and Philibert Delavigne, Les Fleurs, inspired by Isabella’s Courtyard and the Gardner Museum’s greenhouse

Tickets are required and include Museum admission.

Adults $27, seniors $24, members $17, students & children 7–17 $12 (children under 7 not admitted).
