Thursday, December 2, 2021
7 - 8:30 pm
Calderwood Hall

Join us for a brief live performance and film screening of Doorways by pianist and composer, Neighborhood Salon Luminary Kevin Harris, followed by a talkback with the artist. Doorways investigates Kevin’s idea that "time plus movement = perspective" in a musical exploration of passageways and portals in the Gardner Museum's historic building. Film by Paloma Valenzuela.

This performance and film screening takes place during Free First Thursdays. Museum admission is free but reservations are required for this free, 90-minute featured program. (Program tickets include general museum entry. If you plan to attend the film screening, please reserve your tickets for the performance.) The Museum and Cafe G are open late, and art-making activities are offered in the Studio.

Luminary Lens is a unique series featuring Neighborhood Salon Luminary artists bringing fresh perspectives to the Gardner Museum’s historic collection through commissioned new works.
