Collection Conservation Talk

Medusa Mosaic

Friday, February 9, 2018
2 - 2:30 pm

What does a conservator do and what do they see when they examine an object? How does their work help to protect and preserve the collection? Join staff from the Gardner Museum’s Conservation Department, for a special series of informal conversations that will offer unique insights into materials, techniques, and the art and science of conservation.

February 9: Medusa Mosaic

Jessica Chloros, Gardner Museum Objects Conservator, will discuss the Medusa Mosaic in the Courtyard.

Times for talks and tours are subject to change. Please inquire at the Admissions Desk when you arrive at the Museum for the most up to date information. Space is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Pick up a sticker on the first floor of the new wing.
