Celebrated by Erasmus as "the Cicero of our era," Tommaso Inghirami served two Popes as the Vatican librarian, composed eloquent public speeches and became the most famous actor in Rome. Join Professor Ingrid Rowland for a lecture that explores the fascinating life and times of this Renaissance celebrity.

Ingrid Rowland, Professor, University of Notre Dame School of Architecture, Rome

Ingrid Rowland is a professor of art history at the University of Notre Dame, based at its Rome campus. She is the author of many books on Roman antiquity and its reception in the Renaissance, as well as a regular contributor to the New York Review of Books.
