Olivia Moon
Neighborhood Luminary Salon
While pole dance has become most of her identity, Olivia Moon is also a photographer, sock-lover, martini enthusiast, princess, and avid rager of the roads. Based in Boston, Olivia is curious about pushing boundaries and buttons of all sorts. A few years back WBUR named him as one of 15 artists of color making an impact in Boston; it’s the closest to 30 under 30 she’ll ever get. With movement and visual arts as vehicles, Olivia finds nourishment where weightlessness meets seemingly impossible feats. Her experimental pole explorations have gained the support from organizations such as the New England Foundation for the Arts and The Boston Foundation, where he has been a Live Arts Boston and Next Steps for Boston Dance grantee. Olivia’s art has found space to bloom while in residence at the Boston Center for the Arts, Homeport Art House, and Urbanity Dance. He has graced stages at Boston City Hall with Boston Pride for the People, The Sinclair with the Glitter Boys, the Emerson Colonial Theatre with Boston Lyric Opera, and has traveled to the far land of NYC to perform at 3 Dollar Bill and The Slipper Room.
