This is a black and white photograph of the Early Italian Room at Fenway Court. Fra Angelico’s ‘The Dormition and Assumption of the Virgin’ sits above Bernardo Pinturicchio’s ‘The Virgin and Child’ on a narrow wall space. Beyond the wall to the left are the back and front of two upholstered seats, the hood of the fireplace, a sconce, and a large painting on the far wall.

Commentary
Isabella worked with the Boston photographic firm Thomas E. Marr & Son, comprised of Thomas and his son Arthur, to document the museum. This photograph was taken after her death in 1924 and shows Fra Angelico's painted reliquary, the Dormition and Assumption of the Virgin, in the Early Italian Room.
