This French folding fan is made of ribbon with painted wood ribs. Black and ivory colored ribbons are woven in an alternating pattern between black wood ribs. The ribs are carved with a line of flowers. The small central flower of each rib is painted gold. Every two ribs can separate into a section. The ribs are exposed just before they are attached with a metal loop, where black and ivory ribbons are attached.
