Raised gilded carvings dominate the framework, depicting scenes of various implements, such as farm tools below the clock. Below the carved tools is the large head of a man, before the frame slopes down to a point of carved berries. Two small cherub heads emerge from the upper left and right of the frame. A Grecian-like urn is ensconced on the crown of the frame, below which there is a large face of a bearded man. Two skeleton keys emerge from the right side of the frame one small, one large. The clock face itself shows the hours as roman numerals and the seconds as simple integers.
