Spanish Chapel

108

At the other end of the Spanish Cloister, enclosed behind a decorative wrought-iron gate, formerly part of a synagogue, is the small Spanish Chapel. A solemn, commemorative alcove, it features an altar laid with textiles, other liturgical furnishings, and a painting of the Virgin of Mercy from the workshop of Francisco de Zurbarán.
