Tumbler, 18th century
Gilded glass (zwischengoldglass) , 12 cm (4 3/4 in.) high
This tumbler is made of clear glass with a gilded rim and gilded decoration. The shape tapers gradually from the rim to the solid base. Evident is an illustration of a man with a walking stick. Other illustrations look like starbursts, bows, and baskets. There is some evidence of wear in the gilding.
