The Neighborhood Salon

The Neighborhood Salon is a gathering of Boston's cultural leaders and arts influencers, whose work impacts and inspires the creative, educational, social, and political landscape of the Gardner Museum.

Modeled after Isabella's legacy as a curator and hostess, the primary goal of the Neighborhood Salon is to exchange creative ideas and create a dialogue with Boston's most innovative and thoughtful Luminaries. In turn, their ideas and expertise bring a fresh lens to the Museum's collection and inform programming at the Gardner.

With creative endeavors ranging from music, dance, and theater, to fashion, pastry, and the healing arts, this video exemplifies the ways in which this dynamic group of local artists look to the Gardner as a gathering place to inspire their work and each other.

This video was filmed on July 12, 2018 and features events and programs related to our special exhibition, Life, Death & Revelry.
