Sargent’s Portrait of Isabella Stewart Gardner is spending the summer at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. See Sargent: Portraits of Artists and Friends at the Met June 30-October 4, 2015. Mrs. Gardner’s portrait will return to the Museum later this fall.
Sargent's El Jaleo will be off view Wednesday, July 29 and Thursday, July 30 for conservation purposes. The painting will return Friday, July 31.
