Join us for Frank Hatch Free Day, a Museum tradition since 2003. Enjoy a day of free art, music, and family fun with hands-on making in the Studio, activities in the galleries, performances in Calderwood Hall and the Courtyard. Admission is free but limited to Museum capacity. Check in at the Admissions Desk upon arrival.
This year Frank Hatch Free Day coincides with the last day of our special exhibition
Programming for the day will feature a fashion showcase by Boston designers Josefa Da Silva, Provida Fashions, and Nathalia JMag in Calderwood Hall, Hostetter Gallery, the historic Palace, and the Jordan Garden. Try your hand at natural dying techniques in the Bertucci Education Studio, and enjoy Latin jazz by the Edmar Colón Trio in the Courtyard.
Free admission will be available at the Museum entrance on Monday, September 4 starting at 11 am, on a first-come, first-served basis.
Frank Hatch Free Day is held annually in honor of Francis “Frank” Hatch (1925-2010), longtime Gardner Museum trustee, community advocate, and supporter of the arts and culture in the city. This program is supported in part by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, which receives support from the State of Massachusetts and the National Endowment for the Arts.
