This pair of identical candelabras dating from 1850-1899 is made of Sheffield plate, which is layered and pressed silver over copper. These candelabras have a multi-tiered base and each center column is decorated with several fluted nodes and ends with a socket for a candle at the top. Two graceful slender arms attach about an inch from the top of this central column. The arms curve to each side and end with a wide, flat drip pan and a socket that rises above the height of the center socket. With minimal signs of damage or wear, this pair of candelabras appears to be in excellent condition.
