This large, rusty, iron lock and key set features a decorative series of connecting openwork iron curlicues forming a large circle at the end of the key. The key’s handle is a long cylinder, slightly pinched and fluted in the center section. The top section of the handle has two bulbous parts, one on top of the other. The base is decorated with a row of small leaf forms that connect it to the fluted part of the handle. The fluted section is shaped like a column and connects to a sequence of thin, round rings of different widths and diameters before it ends at the key. The key fits into a rectangular iron lock.
