This ornate silver salt cellar is composed of a circular vessel that is perched atop a tall four-legged stand. The cup-shaped vessel has a raised circular motif around the outer edge and has a flared lip. The slender legs are intricately carved with scroll-like shapes and end on curved feet. Two small child-like nude figures are found on each leg and two such figures holding leaves in their raised hand are seated on the rope-like cross-support. There are vine shaped supports at the top and bottom of the base.
