This silver vase is cylindrical, slightly graduated and the top is larger than the base. Both the top and bottom are slightly flared outward, the top terminating in a thin lip and the bottom resting on a narrow, horizontally-grooved, circular base. About a fourth of the way from the top, a thin, ornate, gold band encircles the vase. The design appears to be comprised of scalloped circles, possibly flowers, interspersed with irregular, more horizontal leaf-like forms. About a fourth of the way from the bottom, a thin, twisted rope design encircles the base. The bottom of the base is raised slightly and sits on three legs formed of amorphous silver projections. The initials, “NMS” have been roughly etched on one side of the vase toward the bottom.
