This rock from India is an agate, a form of quartz. It is mostly tannish-brown in color, and it has a smooth, shiny surface that is somewhat translucent. It is shaped like a small round basket. Near the top of the front, there is a smile-shaped depression with a gash in the middle that almost looks like a toothless mouth, which turns upward at the side to our right. Above this gash, at the front edge of the top of the rock, there is a narrow horizontal crystalline area. The top surface of the rock has some curving designs, with a white area near the edge at our left and a hexagon-shaped area with reddish-brown splotches and additional crystalline material at the center bottom. There are also tiny dots all over the surface.
