This tiny brass porcupine fits in the palm of a hand. The brass animal has a rounded body, four short legs with large paws facing toward its head, a pointed snout, and a tiny tail. Its mouth is slightly open but it doesn’t show its teeth. The quills on its head are laid back to form a small ridge that separates its head from its body. Its back is pierced with hundreds of regularly spaced holes that function as repositories for pins. There is a large stoppered opening in the underside of the body where the pins could be retrieved.
