This corporal is a square piece linen that has a scalloped bordered of needle lace. This corporal, upon which a chalice is placed, was used during a Catholic Mass. The scalloped lace border is comprised of identical oval-shaped pieces of linen that depict a kneeling human figure above the head of a winged angel. There are floral, leaf, and scroll-like motifs throughout.
