A gilded glass decanter from Germany. The decanter has a cylindrical body that tapers gently to the neck, which is painted with a band of gold. The neck is also decorated with a gold thistle plant. A gold teardrop stopper is placed in the mouth of the decanter, point-end up. Three gold bands wrap around the decanter: one around the middle of the body, the second at the start of the taper, and the third at the base of the neck. The glass between the first and second bands is decorated with a skinny, leafy tree on the left and a decorative column with a planter on top.
