Minute Greek pyxis with a base of flattened concical form that flares with a slightly convex body profile to a rim which is moulded to recieve the cover. The cover has a knob with a moulded base. The base of the object is black and a narrow brown band is painted about the rim. The body of the object has a tan colored background and the area near the base has two orange horizontal lines. Above these lines there is a row of upright orange vertical stripes with a brown dot at the top of each stripe. Above the stripes there is two more orange horizontal lines. On top of the horizontal lines there is a row of what appears to be black swans in an upside down position, and between each swan there is four black dots in a horizontal line. Above the swan design there is horizontal row of black dots that are divided into groups of four with space between each group. On top of the dot design there is a black horizontal line, and above the black line there is brown line around the rim of the bowl. The lid of the pyxis depicts the same swan pattern and also has a tan background, and the knob of the lid is painted black.
