Isabella Stewart Gardner’s legacy is based on her radical nurturing of the community though visual art, music, literature, and decorative arts. 2009 Artist-in-Residence Ana Prvački leads you on a tour of the galleries presenting ideas and highlighting works that feed life, literally and metaphorically, starting with the iconic images of mother and child.

The Artist-in-Residence Program is directed by Pieranna Cavalchini, Tom and Lisa Blumenthal Curator of Contemporary Art, and is supported, in part, by the National Endowment for the Arts and the Barbara Lee Program Fund.
