Exhibition Celebration

Titian: Women, Myth & Power

Tuesday, October 5, 2021
6:30 - 9 pm

Join us to celebrate the Gardner's exhibition Titian: Women, Myth & Power. This evening will feature exhibition viewing, cocktails and light bites, remarks from Peggy Fogelman, Norma Jean Calderwood Director and more. Additional details to come.

ABOUT THE EXHIBITION

For the first time in over four centuries, Isabella Stewart Gardner’s fully restored The Rape of Europa is reunited with its five illustrious companions in the exhibition’s finale and its only American venue on an international tour. Newly commissioned responses by contemporary artists and scholars, including Body Language: Barbara Kruger and The Rape of Europa: Mary Reid Kelley & Patrick Kelley, engage with questions of gender, power, and sexual violence as relevant today as they were in the Renaissance.
