Café G will be closed beginning Monday, February 2 for maintenance, and will reopen Wednesday, February 18. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Historical recipes prepared by Isabella Gardner, flowers on display in the Courtyard, and connections to music and art are just some of the things that inspire these menus.
Tickets for general admission to the Museum aren't required to visit Café G.
Café G takes advance reservations for select times throughout the day. Please call 617 566 1088 to request a table or for more information about group reservations. For walk-up visitors, please visit the Café in person upon your arrival. If the restaurant is full, you will receive a pager that will work throughout in the Museum, and you can enjoy the galleries until your table is ready. Seating at Café G ends at 4 pm Wednesday through Monday, and 8 pm on Thursday evenings.
Since 2002, The Gardner Café, now Café G, has served up an inspired lunch menu and award-winning desserts—including a seasonal bread pudding named “Boston’s Best Indulgence” by The Improper Bostonian—under the leadership of Chef/Owner Peter Crowley. A graduate of The Culinary Institute of America, Crowley has earned accolades from the media and patrons alike for his innovative and elegant culinary delights.
