The Gardner Museum’s collection, architecture, and place in Boston’s history provide many entry points for connecting to classroom curriculum. Teachers have used visits to the Gardner to help students learn more about Greek and Roman mythology, Medieval and Renaissance art, and late nineteenth-century America. Other teachers have used the Gardner to help students in art, history, and language arts develop critical thinking skills.

Inspired by Art outlines how several local teachers have enriched their writing programs through a visit to the Gardner Museum. We hope that the ideas of these teachers will help you to integrate learning at the Gardner with an aspect of your own classroom curriculum.
