Learn the art of tassel making with the Gardner’s historic upholsterer Gisele Haven. From rustic to resplendent, the tassel can be found in various forms around the globe. This workshop will teach you the ABCs of creative tassel making.

This introductory workshop runs approximately 3 hours in the Hostetter Gallery with the exhibition Carla Fernández: The Barefoot Designer. Recommended for ages 15 and up. Each workshop is limited to 6 participants.

Gisele T. Haven, Historic Upholsterer, has worked at the Gardner Museum for 22 years. She studied traditional upholstery techniques in France and conservation techniques in the United States.
