Experiment with embroidery stitches from traditional and modern with Elsbeth Dijxhoorn, textile artist and instructor. This workshop will introduce hand needlework techniques to students of all levels. You'll end the day with a unique tote bag you've embroidered.

This introductory workshop runs approximately 3 hours in the Hostetter Gallery with the exhibition Carla Fernández: The Barefoot Designer. Recommended for ages 8 and up. Participants under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Each workshop is limited to 6 participants.

Elsbeth Dijxhoorn holds a Master’s degree in Textiles, Fashion Merchandising, and Design from the University of Rhode Island, and works in textile conservation.
