This cycle of watercolored photographs is rooted in on of Ontani’s first trips to India. The title refers to Ontani’s favorite chapter of the Indian journal of French writer Pier Loti. As is usually the case, the artist appears as mythological or religious characters derived from Western art or from Hellenistic and Indian themes.
