Community Creations is an annual student exhibition at the Isabella
Stewart Gardner Museum that celebrates the collaboration between
the Museum and six community organizations in the Boston area. Students
from these organizations participated in Community Partnerships,
a year-long multi-visit education program at the Gardner Museum
for local teens and younger children. Inspired by the Gardner Museum
and its collection, the students created two- and three- dimensional
works of art for this exhibition. Their installations in the Museum's
Special Exhibition Gallery and Monks Garden include: decorative
chairs, an installation made out of grass, designer candlesticks,
a clay dragon sculpture, self-portrait paintings and a ceramic tile
installation.
